Meet Lindsey Siegfried de Sanchez - 2018 VP of North District

Lindsey Siegfried de Sanchez

VP of North District

2018 - 2019

Lindsey Siegfried de Sanchez is a working adult returning to college. She is a sophomore at Normandale Community College, majoring in both Accounting and Spanish. As a half-time student, Phi Theta Kappa gives her the opportunity to be more involved on campus. She is a new inductee to PTK in 2018, and decided during the induction ceremony to take any opportunity that came up to become involved in the leadership of the chapter. That opportunity came up quickly, as the Regional Officer from her chapter needed to find a replacement in order to take a semester off from school. Lindsey is excited to be a part of what the regional team is doing this year, as well as helping her local chapter’s team achieve its goals.

Outside of school, Lindsey works full time at an interpreter company, tutors accounting students at Normandale, serves as the Data & Statistics Ministry Leader at her church, and is an active fourth degree black belt with National Karate, where she trains in both karate and Krav Maga. She has taught karate in both English and Spanish for over ten years. Before attending Normandale, she graduated from the Art Institutes International in 2005 with a Certificate in Baking & Pastry, which she uses at home all the time. After going through a long, difficult process to change her husband’s immigration status, he encouraged her to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a lawyer. She plans to go to law school to become an immigration lawyer after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree.

Lindsey is inspired by the quote, “It is never too late.”
