Run for Regional Office!


Interested in running for regional office? Look no further. Here's what you should be prepared for with regard to applying, campaigning, serving in the position.

Benefits to running:

Thank you for your interest in serving as a Minn-Kota Regional Officer. The opportunity to serve the Minn-Kota Region is an incredible chance to travel, meet new people, and gain valuable leadership skills that will assist you as you continue your education and/or enter the work force.

The experience in an opportunity you do not want to miss as there are many benefits both personally and professionally. Past officers often speak to gaining lifelong friendships and leadership skills that they will take with them.

Running for a Regional Officer position is also rewarding in that you gain skills in speaking in front of others and organization while also meeting new people within your region.

How do I apply?

  1. Fill out application and select a position for you / your chapter to serve.

  2. Get signature on THIS FORM from Chapter Advisor and College President.

  3. Submit online application by Friday, February 16 at 11:59PM CST.

Step 2: Campaign

  1. Prepare a short speech for delivery at the 2018 Minn-Kota Regional Honors Institute & Annual Convention (Saturday, February, 24) ~12:05pm - 1:10pm at Riverland Community College in Austin, MN.

  2. (Optional) Prepare display / campaign materials for Marketplace during 2018 Minn-Kota Regional Honors Institute & Annual Convention.

Step 3: Serve as a Regional Officer

  1. Fulfill duties of position. Read about your officer position in the Regional Handbook.

  2. Set Goals as a Team to implement change across Minn-Kota

  3. Represent your Chapter and members of Minn-Kota

  4. Travel the Region

  5. Have Fun!
