Normandale Community College

Increasing Awareness of The Benefits of Receiving an Associate Degree at Normandale Community College

Our goal was to spread awareness and information about the value of getting an associate degree across Normandale. We accomplished this through the distribution of an original brochure and the hosting of the Normandale Club Showcase, a carnival with games provided from several clubs around campus.

Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids Campus 

Recycling

Focused on increasing recycling and reducing trash waste on campus and educating the college community on local environmental impacts of recycling. A total of 110 individuals pledged to recycle and 59 evaluation surveys were completed. We also learned the importance of effective communication and debriefing of events in order to improve for the future. 

Honors in Action Alpha Delta Alpha Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Coon Rapids Campus Youth Homelessness

Implemented a two-phase project to help reduce youth homelessness. First, conducted a two-week item donation drive for HOPE4Youth, a homeless youth drop-in center, that doubled our goal with 1,068 donations. Second, hosted a strategic planning session at which 30 community participants provided input on the root causes and most effective solutions of youth homelessness in our county.
