We can easily get into trouble if we believe others think just like we do! Through stories, humor and research, let’s explore one of the main ways cultures differ: individualistic vs. collective thinking.

  1. Compare and contrast individualistic and collective cultures.

Biography:

Arlene is a traveler, writer, and teacher. She specializes in leadership development, resiliency training, communication, strategic planning, and culture change management. Using examples from her global travels and life experience, Arlene gets her message across in entertaining, yet practical, ways.

She holds a Master of Science in Psychology and taught MBA Capstone Abroad courses for the College of St. Scholastica, developing and leading learning opportunities in China, India, and Brazil. Since leaving her full-time position as Director of Organizational Learning and Development for Essentia Health in 2012, she has visited thirty countries.
