Ann's keynote speech will identify crucial life experiences that have helped make her become a fearless, courageous, and prepared risk-taker and nurtured her desire to explore the relatively unknown. She will also discuss the rights and responsibilities associated with being an international explorer and some of the myths and cultural stereotypes that commonly limit people from taking risks and seeking greater adventures.

Biography:

Ann is a Minnesota Native, a Polar Explorer and the first woman to reach both the North and South Poles. She is also an educator, a motivational speaker, and philanthropist who believes that by sharing stories related to her dreams of outdoor adventure she can inspire a global audience to pursue their individual dreams. In her keynote presentation, she will identify crucial life experiences that have helped make her become a fearless, courageous, and prepared risk-taker and nurtured her desire to explore the relatively unknown. She will also discuss the rights and responsibilities associated with being an international explorer and some of the myths and cultural stereotypes that commonly limit people from taking risks and seeing greater adventures.
